Graduation

So I'm not even sure who uses this thing anymore but I said what the heck.. I haven't updated in a long time.. :S

Pretty much my high school career comes to an end next Wednesday. My grad party is saturday and the ceremony is sunday. Scary if you think about it. I think i mentioned before I will be at Iowa State next fall. I'm really excited to go through recruitment for the greek system and also get involved in collegiate 4-H. 

Thinking about all the thigns going on this summer.. I know it will go by fast. In a way.. that scares me. I keep finding myself asking questions like... when will I have time to hang out with friends?  how many of my classmates will I see?  what is actually going to happen this summer?... I am going to be a camp counselor at the SW 4-H camp again and also have orientation and 4-H conference to put into the calendar too. Oh and fair.. aka the best time of the year!

So I am currently boyfriend-less but it doesn't bother me.  I haven't had time for a guy and dont want to be tied down to someone thsi summer. I want to be free to flirt around and do my own thing.. I dont need someone to hold me back from anything and make it hard, as if it isn't already hard enough to tell my parents goodbye, to go to college.  I love it where there are no attachments.. sometimes that doesn't work but I'm not in the frame of mind to actually have a relationship.  I have an entire 'ocean' of guys ahead of me.. and that is EXCITING!!

Hey guys I thought I'd let ya know on whats been going on since the last update which I dont' remember when that was!!!

I've been super busy with school and cheerleading.  We still don't have our boxes painted but we will finish them on Friday. Thank god cuz they soo need to get done! Anyways... I have to paint the Hawkeye and my name on mine. Some people are further and some are behind. Its okay though. So I haven't been doing so well in English Comp. It really brought my mood down this week.  Honestly.. what is wrong with my freakin papers. Crazy Lady! I found out I'm not the only one struggling and such. So I am going to try EXTRA-EXTRA hard this paper thats due on Wednesday.

So Thursday I found out I got accepted to ISU! Freakin PARTY! I'm soo excited ya'll have no idea! I am going to apply for housing like tomorrow! :) Gosh I'm so excited that I can now just focus on my scholarships and stuff. Most of them aren't due until December or February but why not get them in early cuz those are the ones they really look at. I really hope I can afford college! I guess that is what they call student loans.. eh! I think I will get a job this summer to help pay for some of my expenses. We'll see! Anyways enough of college.. focus on high school!

So friday we played at Dunlap.. freakin game got called cuz of lightning. I didn't get to talk to Robert and now hes mad cuz I didn't get to give him a hug cuz we had to leave freakin RIGHT away. That pissed me off beyond belief! So he came to the game on Thursday and hopefully can come to the game on thursday here against BV! :) Exciting..exciting! Sarah Kelley and I talked for awhile on Friday. First time we actually talked I think.. shes super nice! Freakin love her! So that was fun and got to meet/talk to brianne. Who I sorta knew but now I officially know her.

Not much else is going on. Ryan didnt' go to the game with me at ISU.. but thats okay. he is going to the UNI game out there cuz of family weekend and I'll be out tehre so we can probably see each other then! YAY! That kid is freakin awesome and he turns 16 on Wednesday.. Yay for Ryan! So anyways that is great and dandy.

I have gotten to talk to Brit and Aimee from Arkansas this week. Those chicks are CRAZY! Brit is takin english comp for college too so that was fun to talk about how much we hate it! I think they need to make a road trip up here!! lol!

My mom got a Friend of Extension Award at ISU on Monday. My dad, grandma and I went out with her. There were TONS of people we knew out there and then I talked to Brenda (my state council advisor) so that was fun. I hadn't seen her since fair. We talked about this youth/adult partnerhsip thing. I will be required to miss cheerleading since the program is from 9-3. Dee can't go with me but I think one of us needs to go to be able to bring it back to the county. I just dont' know what to do because it will be counted as an unexcused absence and I already have one cuz of my moms award. I'm soo freakin confused. I know I should be there for the state council and I know I should be at cheerleading. I guess I'll figure it out sometime!!

So I can't think of much else going on.. oh yah! I'm thinking about applying to be in the Cyclone Marching band. I'm thinking bout doing Clarinet just cuz I know my scales for that better than my sax. If I do my sax I will really have to work on them. I do 2 scales (of my choice), Chromatic, and a section from 2 songs. Its not terribly hard but I wan to be in it SOO bad. I know its absolutely crazy because I'm not a HUGE band fan.. I actually hate it! But this is such a different experience. Idk.. I'm still deciding about choir. I don't honeslty know how much I can manage freshman year but yep.. here I am talking bout college again!!

You got it.. I'm finally updating!

Well folks.. its been awhile huh?! Try like 2 weeks or so. Well I will update you on the highlights... :)

So we started school on the 16th of August. Isn't too bad. The college english is kinda hard at times and we are already on our 2nd paper. I have a feeling they will be coming at us all the time now. I got a A on my first one so that made me SUPER excited!!! :) Yay! I hopefully will have a A the whole time.. that looks GREAATT on my college transcript! So speaking of college.. ISU sent me a confirmation that my application has been recieved and they are just waiting on my HS transcripts which Dedra will send out hopefully Tuesday if she hasn't done it already. So yep when that gets in I should get my application letter in 3 weeks. I soo want good housing. I"m super pumped for college.. no joke!! 

So now that school has started taht means cheerleading has and with that comes DrAmA!! So we have already had our fare share of lies on the squad and I have pretty much been a bitch about it too. Its called commitment. You either make the commitment now or freakin quit. I dont want to deal with people who don't give a rats ass.. cheerleading is something big this year.. even bigger than last year so freakin respect that fact and realize that it is now taking up 4-5:30 every monday and wednesday night!!! Anyways taht is my partial rant!!

The first FCCLA event went well. We had a ton of people there and they seemed to have fun. That was like seriously a load off my back. The next project is getting the trash-cans done before homecoming. So we are working on that. We hav about 36 members... that is SOO EXCITING! Its going to be a great year.. taht comes with lots of freakin work tho! Oh well its cool to be in charge!! HAHA!

So we lost our first football game on friday to manning.. 69-0. If that wasn't the worse defeat our school has seen I hate to see what the defeat was. EH! What a way to freakin start the season! So yep Jordy and I had fun that night and we took goofy pictures. Look at my facebook if ya wanna see them. So yep I can't wait until Friday cuz its our first away game and the first game for the VAN!! VRRROOOOOMMM to LeMars!! We play Gehlen Catholic... its our non-district game.

So my guy situation!!! Trent now has a girlfriend.. and trent and I no longer are friends thanks to Landon. I am REALLY hurt on the fact that Landon opened his mouth and now trent and I can't talk. He thought it was funny.. seriously how do you think losing a friend is funny?!?! I was soo PISSED! So anyways.. Robert is iffy... we are working on that one.. then Ryan.. well we are working on that one too. he might go to the ISU game with me on Saturday.. depending on if I am driving back by myself or if we are staying in Ames. Its a night game so we'd get back around 2:30 or 3... eh!!!!!! And I don't remember if I had another guy or not.. oh yeah. jakob.. we aren't sure about that one. Jordan and I played a funny prank on him the scrimmage night.. then het old me he wanted to be friends.. no more no less so iw as freakin pissy bout that and now i'm not sure what we are. We went to the first dance together.. it was like the 18th or whatever.... =)

Well I went shopping today. I got my temporary homecoming dress.. its not exactly what i wanted but will do. I might go back later and try to get a different one. Its a black halter. Very classy and cute. I want either a halter or strapless polka dot black and white cocktail dress.. we'll see if I can find one. So i went to AE and spent like a ton of money.. got a pair of khakis, 2 shirts and a hoodie. Aero pissed me off so I'm not happy with them. I returned my Pumas to Von Maur and ordered the other ones online tonight from PUma. Should get them in 5 days.. :) So yep then got me some sports bras and a pair of windsuit pants and Dicks. Then I got a wallet for my purse. I am returning my purse to Fossil so they can fix it and then send it back to me :)

Can't think of much else.. oh yah! They replace my phone today. They are waiving the 50 fee to get a replacement for out of warranty.. then they are paying for me to download my ringers back. :) So I got a free phone book transfer and then I lost my pictures. Oh well! I'm super glad though! So anyways I think I'm going to go.. need to write a paper for English Comp and things.

Confused... i think?

Hey! So I just got back from state fair and had a meeting for the academy at 7. Alex O rode home from Des Moines with me.. .party.. jk! Anyways so the meeting was boring and now Torrey, Willie and I have to ride the damn bus.. taht is GAY! We had some fun plans.. ;).. jk! So I had fun at state fair. MY LIZZY WAS SHELBY CO. FAIR QUEEN!! I just found that out and got to see her and her beauty.. haha!! So yep Lydia Beck was state fair queen. She was on last years state 4h council. My mom and her mom are friends from the 4h foundation. Anyways Joe, my mom and I left them a message on their answering machine after we found out saturday!!! :) So anyways I had fun hanging out with Liz cuz she finally got to work!! :) Check in those sheepys! So yep I did Dairy Cattle check in one day.. information booth/ operation military kids one day.. educational presentations one day and then for two days I did working exhibits. Yep I had fair food for 2 days out of a week.. pretty proud of myself. So I got to meet TONS of new people!! YAY it makes me happy to meet new people. Heather and Kaytlin worked for a day so that was AWESOME to see them especially heather cuz she went to EUROPE with me!! So yep I saw Kasey Brown from Euro-Trip! Got to work with Chelsea, Brett and Laura. They were awesome! Cami and Megan came out too so taht was fun. Okay I'm done talking about fair!

School starts on Wednesday. I think I am ready for senior year.. actually ready for it to end and I'm ready for college. That sounds REALLY wierd but I honestly think I am... High school is filled with DRAMA. That is one thing I hate! I'm excited to be a senior though.... were the TOP dogs now! YES!! We were going to have a party tomorrow night but nothing happened since i left it up to torrey so me n tor will talk tomorrow and figure something out! :) gotta start the year off with a SLAM! Anyways the academy will start Thursday! Woo hoo!

So I guess I have been having boy issues. I rarely ever vent on here and I am tonight. Jordy is on the phone with her boyfriend and that leaves me with not much else. Could call Liz but she is probably busy with the fair. So anways to tell your my ordeal= I was talking to Trent.. from Logan. So yep we were gonna hang out and then apparently it was my fault we didn't and I blew him off to hang out wiht Torrey and Trevor when we went to see Lacie's pictures. So I stayed at trevors and talked to him and torrey for awhile and then he got mad cuz I wasn't going to hang out wiht him. Whatever.. so that was like last week or two weeks ago.. something like taht. So we were txt'n still and it was all good right? So we txt and he is on a date with Rachael K from Logan.. *Jordan.. :@ you get what I'm saying* so anyways whatever u know I mess with him while Liz and I sit on some benches and txt our boy toys. Well I pissed him off with a nice comeback and then moved to Robert.....

So robert and i have been talking and on saturday after jord's family reunion we went to dunlap. he messed around with me and said he was in soldier and to say the least... he was in dunlap! I was halfway to woodbine when I found this out... so anyways i get mad and dont' talk to him.. so we talk again and he is goin to state fair and thats great cuz i'll be there :) so I'm excited and then i txt him while i'm out there. he was supposed to get there sunday.. got there sunday night and i left today(monday) so anyways we talk and he had to do something so he hung up and i was upset. I needed someone to talk to so i started to get sick. :( So I went to bed early and got up today and he seemed distant. I guess I don't know what happened but I called him when I got off and he was fine. We didn't get to hang out but I wanted to get home. So basically I am upset.. don't know what to do with guys... need one and yep life sucks!!

THat is my rant for today. I'm tired and now talking to Jordan so I am going to bed.. a nice soft and plushy bed!! haha!

Europe was absolutely amazing!

Hey! Yah I'm back!! Let me breifly fill you in on what has happened lately!!!

June 27-29th- State 4-H Conference. I roomed with Cami Ahrenholtz from Harlan. I knew her when I was little and so we are friends again. She, Liz and I hung out alot. Saw Leo a few times.. he and Lewis.. they do the unexpected.. NO JOKE! So that was pretty funny to hear about. On the morning of the 29th my mom came to the State 4-H Council parents luncheon. Liz and her parents, Brittany and her parents and Natalie and her mom sat with us. I got inducted to State 4-H Council at the closing session. That was soo exciting!! I am really prepared for all the fun I will have the next year with all of them!!

June 29-July 2nd- Practiced for at least 8 hours a day (8:30-12.. 1-5:30..7-9 and sometimes 10) on our music.. sometimes in sectionals. Totally gives meaning to the pre-tour camp. I sat by Catherine Gardner from Ottumwa. Shes freakin hilarious. Sami was a few rows back from me. I was on the end in the front row.. that means I'm short!! So  yep I tried out for a solo on "From this house". It was basically about 40 people trying for 6 solo spots.. WOW! You got to make up your own part to go with the song... lol that was interesting. I didn't think I did too bad for being EXTREMELY NERVOUS! So then I tried out for a solo on "Hark I hear". I tried out with Aaron Slaichert. Cutie.. lol So yep we were pretty much awesome but apparently I don't have enough vibrato in my voice... I think the people that got solos had too much but whatever.. not my opinion. SO yep was great to meet everyone. I roomed with Julie from Ankeny, Erin from Winterset and Kasey from some town south of Des Moines. They were pretty cool. I hung out with Kasey alot so we got to be good friends.My parents came out for the concert on Sunday afternoon. We had to go to Target and get my close-toed shoes.. lol missed that memo and then we got some subway and they dropped me off. Went through my suitcase and put some stuff back for them to take. It was pretty heavy!

July 3-18- We first went to Munich and then connected to Heathrow (london). Sat by some kids from Grinnell on the plane. Cute boy. So we got to London did some touristy stuff. I really liked the city. Went to Les Miserables... didn't find it all that great and I wasn't the only one. Then went to phantom the 3rd night. FREAKIN AWESOME. I loved it in Omaha and it was even better in London!! I got a shirt!! ha! Got to see the first Hard Rock.. got some shirts there!! We then got to see the White Cliffs of Dover and took a Ferry to France.

Paris was absolutely disgusting. I think it was even grosser than London.. I hate the creepy people (I've always been like that.. lots of pick-pocketers) Got to go to the Eiffel Tower and go up. Only went to the 2nd landing. Got to see Notre Dame. Very cool church!! Went to the Louvre and saw the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo statue. Lots of art work that some people did presentations on in Spanish this year were there. Didn't get to go shopping at Louis Vuitton.. they have a 2 story HUGE store there. Saw the Arc de Triumph (in a lot of movies). We really didn't get to do any shopping..:( They were getting ready for the Tour De France and putting up bleachers on the final stretch. We were in France for the finals of the world cup. Went to a KFC to get ice cream and the workers were rooting for Italia. There were a ton of drunks in the streets.. it was crazy! So a ton of us watched the game. I was rooting for Italy.. Kari, Erin and Farren were for France. So yep needless to say.. ITALIA WON!! YAY!

We went to switzerland. We were in the french speaking part of switzerland. We stayed in Crans-Montana. Ski resort place and where the European Open is held :). Saw the Castle de Chillon. Very cool and Lake Geneva was absolutely beautiful. Our concert there was completely packed!!! We were the first ambassador group (there was like 20 or so thsi year) to get a standing ovation. We waited for the band to perform and then we sang Battle Hymn with them. Talked to some cute french-speaking guys... yah pretty much awesome. Kari and I were in the hugging contest with Aaron and Justin. :) Aaron gave Allison, Kari and I black names. We got to see the Matterhorn at Zermatt. I got a swiss army knife for myself and one for my dad. Got a lot of swiss chocolate:) YAY!

We then went to Austria. Its really a tie between switzerland and austria for which one is prettier!! It's like colorado but WAY better! We went to Innsbruck and saw the ski jump wehre the 78 olympics were held. Went to the Swavorski Crystal Gallery.. spent some $$ there!!! :) needless to say I have my prom jewelry!! So then we also went to Venice on a day trip. Very historic.. very smelly.. very dirty! Saw venecian glass being blown.. saw TONS of venician masks. Didn't get one cuz I figured I would never use it. Ate some Gelato.. WAY better than ice cream!!!!!! Got a champion soccer shirt!!! Didn't get any fake purses.. I want a real one and was willing to pay the price but never got the opportunity. Oh well! Erin, Kari, Melissa and I had the apartment at our hotel. It was awesome.. was like an apartment.. kitchen, master bath.. everything!

We toured Dachau. Was similar to the Holocaust Museum in DC but was SOO real. There were so many ashes that the mixed them with the gravel. So you were walking on dead bodies. That creeped me out and gave me the chills. Saw the bath house, 2 different types of bunkers, toured the chapels that were built after the war was over, toured the crematorium, saw where the mass graves were and the two different shooting ranges. We sang in the protestant chapel there. That was sad just to sing "Prayer of the Children" but Dr. Torkelson said a few words before we sang. Some of the band members sang with us. Dachau is one of the few remaining camps.. The germans weren't proud of what happened and many were completely distroyed. On a lighter note-- we went to Rothenburg. This is home of the HUGE christmas store!! Yep I visited it and bought a few ornaments! :) Got a purse while I was there and had a Schneeball. Basically pie crust  in a ball covered in chocolate or sugar! Yum! Very cool city.. It is walled and shaped like a pork-chop! Lots of neat little shops. Got a germany world cup jersey. :) It was fun to walk around and see everything! We drove to Frankfurt on the 18th.. got up at 3:30.. 8:30 on the 17th for US people.

Got to Des Moines about 6:30. I needed some beef so mom and I went to Jimmy's on 8th street and I got a burger! I tried lamb while I was over there and had a lot of chicken. If any of you get the chance to go with the Iowa Ambassadors of Music.. DO IT! It's such a cool experience and you really come back changed. Its a ton of fun to bond with your coach members and even your bus driver. We had an awesome one.. BERT. He was soo nice and I think everyone was teary-eyed when we left him at the Frankfurt Airport. He was even crying!! 

 Mr. Feirer said we would come back changed.. definately! Many things change while you are away.. its fustrating to come back to the culture here. I really respect them over tehre. You can go ANYWHERE and someone will know a little english. I hate to say it.. but I KNOW that isn't the case here. It was really cool to be in the different cultures. They are soo conservative of their land over there. They respect it. There is TONS of farms... that made me smile to know that they grow corn and wheat over there just like we do here. They have livestock too. It's almost hard to talk on the phone when you get back! I have over 500 pictures and can't wait to share them with ya'll! If ya got any questions.. let me know!

The fair was right after I got back. WELCOME TO THE DRAMA.. I hate it! Seriously hate it! So I got one project going to state. Pretty good for only having two! Hung out with Kandi alot. Went to the derby.. pretty much my fam. rocks! Greg did well in the truck and non-weld. Joel got 2nd in finals.. :) So anyways Robert brock scared the crap out of me. actually him, dustin clark and cody neill. Hung out with Robert on Sunday... Kandi and I might go up to 4-county fair to see him up there. Hang out with him and Austin!! :) So anyways. Thats all I've got. Not exactly breif. Can't wait to talk to Willie. Christ Church is absolutely beautiful. My moms friends daughter lives there. I love the accent they have!!! :) Anyways Talk to you all later. THis is long.. sorry!
